WTP Product Development

The price-backward development model created for entrepreneurs.

You already know what happens when entrepreneurs skip the early steps. They get excited. They build fast. They launch with fireworks. And then nothing. No traction. No sales. They drop their price. They throw money at marketing. They tell themselves it is a loss leader and they will stop when it gets organic growth.

That is a path to losing everything. I have lived it, and maybe you have too.

That is why I created the WTP Product Development Model. It is a price-backward methodology that starts where most product development ends, with the price your customer will actually pay, and works every design, manufacturing, and sourcing decision backward from there.

Most courses, especially in the FBA and ecommerce world, teach you to build a product first and figure out the margin later. That approach has been responsible for more failed products than any other single mistake I have seen in twenty-five years of developing and selling physical products.

WTP flips that sequence entirely.

You anchor every decision to the price your customer is already willing to pay. You use that number to shape your product, control your costs, and ensure you are building something people want that will put money in the bank. If the numbers do not add up, you pivot early -- before you have spent serious money on tooling, inventory, or marketing.

When your product finally hits the shelf, online or in retailers, you know exactly why it sells, who it is for, and what it is worth. The price is no longer a risk. It was the plan from the beginning.

Whether you are an inventor, a small business, or an ecommerce seller who has outgrown what FBA courses teach about pricing and sourcing, the WTP Product Development Model is the profitable alternative.

AUDIBLE VERSION COMING SOON

Would you like to be a review editor for the upcoming audiobook release?

I’ve used an ElevenLabs AI voice to create an audio edition of my book, and I’m looking for volunteer review editors to help identify any issues before the final mastering stage. Your ears will make a real difference.

The full audiobook runs about 12.5 hours, and I’ve divided it into twelve segments of roughly one hour each.

Your role

Please listen to any segment(s) you choose and let me know if you hear:

  • Pops or audio artifacts
  • Strange or unexpected noises
  • Mispronounced or awkwardly rendered words
  • Anything that disrupts the listening experience

When you find an issue, email me at Steven@Product1.com with:

  • The segment number
  • The timestamp
  • A brief description of the error

Important note

These segments are for review only. They are not yet structured like a finished audiobook. Chapters are simply placed in sequence, and the navigation, chapter markers, and supporting materials (diagrams, tables, illustrations) have not been added yet. The companion support page is not yet live. Those will be posted here later.

Thank you for taking the time to help. I truly appreciate your support and your ears.
